A Note On Politics

Posted by

Politics… a word that ignites many different thoughts and emotions. A word that starts arguments among family members.

“I’m not interested in politics.”, one says. Politics, political parties, sides, bills, legislation, Congress, lobbyists. The world of politics is founded upon the need to act, but lives in a world of endless arguments and ‘politics’, not acting. As such, the word brings upon a sense of mere debate and stalemates, not the quick, effective, and decisive action needed to solve the world’s pressing issues. As such, I believe in the need to act, not ‘politics’, as most people think of the word. And I bet I’m not the only one. Which brings me to a pressing conclusion: “Is this really the best we can do?”
